'The Lego Movie' poster campaign does fit with Propp's character theory. However, the poster campaign of Emmet presents him as nervous and weak as we can see in his facial expression and outfit of a builder which does not fit to the typical stereotype of a 'hero' who wears a cape. Another poster campaign shows Lord Business fits into the character type of the 'villan'. We can instantly see this as he is wearing dark colours such as black and red which connotes danger and evilness. As well as this we can see his angry and aggressive facial expression which further shows us his a villan.

'The Lego Movie' poster campaign appeals to a family audience thought their used of genre codes for this cartoon, lego, action movie.

In the main poster campaign we can see all the characters running. We see other action characters from other action movies such as batman, superman, wonder women etc. This could attracted a family audience as they can identify these characters and feel a sense of nostalgia. As well as this, they in the character's poster campaigns it says at the top in big bold text the name of the actor who is the voice for the lego characters. These are iconic, famous actors such as Will Ferrell, Morgan Freedman etc. who would be loved by the older generations, making them want to watch the film. Lastly, In the Vitruvius poster campaign shows his character who is intertextualised from the hobbit and lord of the rings which the older generation would relate to and enjoy.
